Microencapsulated phase-change materials (mPCM)
What is this?
mPCM (microencapsulated phase change material) refers to microencapsulated phase-change materials. It consists of a heat-storage substance (core) enclosed in a durable polymer shell. As a result, the material retains its properties and shape, effectively managing heat without changing its physical state.

How does it work?
Microencapsulated phase-change materials (mPCM) respond to temperature fluctuations. When the temperature rises, the material inside melts and absorbs excess heat; when it cools, it crystallizes and releases the heat back into the environment, maintaining thermal equilibrium.
